The installation ceremony of the CESA (Civil Engineering Student Association) council for the batch of 2023-24 took place on August 14, 2023 at Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda – Goa. The Civil Engineering Students Association (CESA) was formed with the primary aim of exposing potential civil engineers to the challenges of the profession. With both students and faculty as its members, the organization is one of the most active Civil Engineering Associations. Civil Engineering Students Association is a non-registered, non-profit organization within the Department of Civil Engineering. CESA organizes activities like educational field trips in the state and out of the state of Goa, lectures by professionals and distinguished practitioners in the field, video is shown on the latest technologies in the world, competitions, and socially relevant projects for the students throughout the year.

The host, Ms. Angel Rodrigues welcomed the gathering by introducing the Chief Guest – Engineer Arman Bankley (Director of Armines Group), Director- Rev. Fr. Kinley D’cruz, Principal- Dr.Neena Panandikar, Head Of Department of Civil engineering- Dr. Shwetha Prasanna and Mr. Michael Viegas – CA. The ceremony continued by lighting of the lamp and as the outgoing Chairman Mr.Sahil Patil  shared his experience with the audience. The gathering was then addressed by Dr. Shwetha Prasanna who briefed about the activities headed by the previous council. Dr Neena Panandikar, in her address motivated the students to do their best and encouraged them to engage with the industrial world and the new trends in technology.

Prof. Genevieve, introduced the newly elected CESA Council members to the gathering, that is Chairperson: Clarita De Souza, Secretary: Rachel Fernandes, Treasurer: Gopal Krishna Parab, Executive members, Mr. Rohan Viegas, Mr. Nimay Palyekar, Mr. Shreyas Surve, Mr. Numan Shaikh, Mr. Chris Keeranchira and Ms. Sneha Subramani.

Followed by the installation of the new committee, the new chairperson put forward her plans for the upcoming academic year and shared her vision. This was followed by the address by the Director, Rev Fr. Kinley D’Cruz, who congratulated the outgoing council and encouraged the new council. Followed by the same, the Chief Guest, Mr. Arman Bankley addressed the gathering and inspired the new members with his journey in the entrepreneurial world. The event was a great success and the students were grateful for this opportunity.
